SINGAPORE: A fire broke out at a shophouse at Block 513, Tampines Central 1, near the Tampines Bus Interchange on Friday morning.
Singapore Civil Defence Force officers entered the locked premises by cutting the front and rear shutters with a power saw.
The flames were brought under control within 15 minutes and did not spread to the neighbouring units. There were no casualties in the incident.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

I saw the smoke in this morning!!! Really SURPRISED! I was thinking what happened, why suddenly got smoke rising into air, then i realised there was fire. But i was already on the mrt, so i can't see much. But when i came home, i walked past to take a look, and it was the shop next to mac that was burnt. Really burnt. I have never seen such a scene before. So scary. I cnt imagine witnessing the fire. I wonder how the fire broke out. I wonder who was the first one to see the fire, called fire engine... Then i thought, everything in this world can be harmful. Like fire, if small it is useful, but large fire can burn away everything. Water is necessity, but huge amounts of water-sea, floods can drown ppl. Even pencil can hurt us if you are being poked by it. Just like human, though they may be nice, they can harm others too. Anyway, i think firemen and policemen are very noble and cool :)
